St. John's Unitarian Universalist Music Series Concert. Mixing political and cultural humor, & talking blues music, the Freddies are four time winners of the Cincinnati Entertainment Award (2001-2004) for Best Folk Musicians.
The band started out playing for tips on the streets of Cincinnati and continues to believe that "If you ain't good enough for the street corner, what are you good for?" Vocals accompanied by guitars, upright bass, & mandolin, solos on kazoo, harmonica & washboard, and lively audience participation make this a fun family-friendly event.

Music Series
St. John's Annual Music Series 2007-2008
For over eighteen years the St. John's Music Series has offered the greater Cincinnati area a unique mix of musical programs with something for everyone. The proceeds benefit St. John's music program and various non-profit organizations as part of the St. John's outreach program.
Series tickets are now available for $60 for 5 concerts (a savings of $15). Single tickets: $15. Students $10 with student ID. Family friendly prices: $15 covers one adult and one child. $5 for youth 12 and under. Tickets in advance or at the door. Call (513) 961-1938. All concerts take place at St. John's, which is handicap accessible.

St. John's Music Series Producers
The St. John's Music Series concerts are organized and presented by Minister of Music Dr. Catherine Roma and Associate Music Director Rachel Kramer.
Dr. Roma received her doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music. In addition to her role at St. John's, Dr. Roma is:
- Founder and Artistic Director of MUSE, the Cincinnati Women's Choir
- Associate Professor of Music at Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio
- Co-founder and Director of the Martin Luther King Coalition Chorale, now the Voices of Freedom, based at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Some of the honors that Dr. Roma has received include:
- The Jane Schlissman Award for Outstanding Contributions to Women's Music, 1993
- Race Relations Recognition Award, 1999
- GALA Legacy Award, 2000
- Maurice McCracken Award, 2000
- Cincinnati Leading Woman Award, Art/Entertainment Category, 2001
- The Image Maker Award (2002)
- The Enduring Spirit Award (2003)
- The Community Service Award from the Council of Christian Communions (2004)
In January 2006, Roma's first book The Choral Music of Twentieth-Century Women Composers: Elisabeth Lutyens, Elizabeth Maconchy, and Thea Musgrave, was published by Scarecrow Press.
Rachel Kramer has served as Associate Music Director since 1995. Rachel holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in piano performance from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Music in piano performance and pedagogy from The University of Michigan.
Rachel Kramer's roles include:
- Manager of Educational Programs for the Baldwin Piano & Organ Co. in Cincinnati (1990-1996)
- Assistant Executive Director at the Music Teachers National Association in Cincinnati. (1998-2001)
- President of Music Learning Center, Incorporated, a teaching studio of more than 300 students ages 6-months through 7th grade
- Accompanist for MUSE - Cincinnati's Women's Choir, the Martin Luther King Coalition Chorale, now Voices of Freedom, and the Wilmington College Chorale
- Director of St. John's Youth Choir, Voices of Variety
