Beloved Community. For those who want to go deeper into congregational life

The 2010 Congregational Meeting will be held on June 6, 2010, after the regular service. Here is the Agenda for the meeting. If you will not be able to attend the meeting, you can get an absentee ballot, which must be returned to the church office no later than June 5, 2010.

Stewardship 2010. Our 2010 Stewardship Campaign is scheduled to begin on March 28 and be completed within just a couple of weeks. Kari Olson and Jim McDonough, the chairs of the Stewardship Campaign, wrote a letter to the entire congregation reminding us of the importance of this year's Stewardship Campaign. Jack Sherman, the chair of the Search Committee, also wrote a letter from the Search Committee to the congregation about the connections between the Stewardship Campaign this year and our search for a new minister next year.

After reading and thinking about the messages in these letters, please consult the 2010 Pledge Card and make the most generous pledge you can comfortably afford, to support St. John's in the coming year.

Searching for a new Minister. We are in the early stages of selecting a minister to replace Rev. Carpenter after his retirement. Here is a description of the proposed Settled Minister Search Process

Congregational Survey. In the first stage of the Settled Minister Search Process, the Search Committee asked each member or friend of St. John's individually to complete an on-line survey to tell the Committee what they like about St. John's and what they would like to improve and change. Thank you all for completing your surveys. The results have been compiled, and tell an interesting story about what we all like or want to change at St. Johns, and our hopes for the future. You can see the Survey results here.
