St. John’s and other Unitarian Universalist congregations extend a warm welcome to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) individuals and their families. We are proud to be a certified Welcoming Congregation. This completely voluntary program recognizes that St. John’s is intentionally inclusive of bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people and their families.
We have a chapter of Interweave where GLBT Unitarian Universalists and their friends meet for support, socializing and sharing life issues.
To find out more about our denominations stand on GLBT issues visit the Justice Diversity page at uua.org. If you are interested in learning what is involved in being certified as a welcoming Congregation by the UUA, see Welcoming Congregation at uua.org
