For this service,
we showed off the wonderful sanctuary at St. John's which was Monty the Python
Snake , the newest member of EarthSpirit and the star of our traveling
minstrel group "Snakes Rising," introduced himself to the children
of St. John's after lighting the chalice with the help of his mistress,
Susan Pearl. The sermon was entitled "Why We Dance" and focused on beliefs and rituals that pagans hold in common... like drum, dance, and serpent mythology. And then Susan Pearl and Monty Python will ended the sermon with a dance! Finally, Melanie
Marsh and friends closed the service by getting everyone up on their feet
to move to the rythmic sounds of Snakes Rising using beautiful Tai Chi
movements. Afterwards, we were joined by a group of enthusiastic drummers and dancers at St. John's Coffee Hour. |
